I recently got a grip for my Sony a7ii. The grip is an aftermarket brand called Vello. The grip makes holding onto this camera feel way better and I am sure because of it I will reach for this camera more often than I do. The lens I have on the camera is a Canon FD 50mm f/1.2 manual focus lens from the 1970’s. Not only does this combination look awesome, it’s produces awesome results! I added a photo I shot bellow that I took with this set up right after I took a picture of the camera. Oh and FYI, I shot the photo bellow handheld in the dead of night around 11:30pm!

DH had been looking into getting a Sony for himself and recently did but I’m not sure which one it is. Did you have to use an adapter for the lens to fit the body?
Oh nice, they are fun cameras. Yes you have to use an adapter for the old lenses. Thankfully they are made for tons of different brands and are pretty cheap. The one I have for this lens was like $35 off Amazon.
