Pictures of Strangers (video)

When I was in Calgary in September I wondered around the city taking pictures of strangers. I wanted to shoot some photos of people with my Pentax 6×7 medium format film camera, but I didn’t have any models. I figured I might as well just go walk up to people on the street ask them if I could take their picture. Everyone was pretty cool and I got some good shots.

My friend Corey came along for the adventure and filmed it all. I did the edit myself because that’s how I prefer to do it. If you want to see how the day went check out this video. Shout out to everyone who said yes (and no I guess πŸ˜‰) in the video.

I will do some posts with some of the pictures of the people from the video in the next little while.

Thanks for stopping by, Rob

PS: If you have a youtube account please like the video and leave a comment for me. It’s helpful πŸ˜‰

  1. I often struggle with getting good pictures of people when I’m travelling. One one hand, if you ask people permission they pose for a shot but if you want a more natural candid picture you can’t ask permission first and it’s a little rude.
    Good video.
