The weekend I was back in Calgary I shot a ton of photos. I was only in town for two very quick days, so with what little time I was actually in the city I made sure to shoot a lot of photos. Here are a few street shots from around this one intersection in the East Village.
I spent most of my spare time (there was hardly any) around the East Village as is close to my old neighbourhood and that’s where I was staying. Plus, this was kind of a work trip and the work I was doing was also in the East Village, so this was pretty convenient for me.
I shot all these photos with my Sony a7R & FE 50mm f/1.8. This isn’t exactly an awesome street photography set up, but it’ll get the job done.
Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Is that giant milk carton part of an art exhibit? Pretty cool.
Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. I like it too.
Ah. The title of the post was “THE STREETS OF THE EAST VILLAGE” and I immediately thought of Manhattan, New York. Until I read the post. Type “East Village” into Google and tell me if Calgary shows up on the first or second page of search results.
Haha ya I’m sure most people that are not from Calgary will think that. But that’s what the neighbourhood is called, so I dunno what to tell you.
