I shot this photo last night from SAIT (a local college). I got there a bit early and tried a few shots while it was lighter out, but I knew waiting till the sun when down more would give a much better effect. Once the sun went down more I waited for a train to go by so I could get the lights streaks in the shot. I had my camera on a 2 second timer, but timing for the train was still rather easy because just before the train comes into frame there is a cross walk with bells that ring. Anyhow, it was a nice night and I’m happy with the picture :).

Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Rob, I am so humbled by your work. You bring out the beautiful in every thing you shoot. You inspire me to want to be better at this, to work on my craft. Thank you for that.

You should be happy with the photo Rob, it’s gorgeous!
Have you ever photographed the war memorial in Kensington with its lights? I bet you’d do it justice!

This is beautiful – I am trying to know where is the location??
Thank you! The location is in Calgary, Canada. The photo was shot from the edge of a soccer field at a local college called SAIT :).

Thank you for the invitation – You never know – I will visit very soon!!
‘You bring out the beautiful in everything’ pretty much says it all. This photo is absolutely stunning. I love how the building in the center has the same ‘sparkle’ as the train.
Thank you so much for you all to kind comment! Your the best ;).
Love the star affect on the train rail lighting.
Cool long train running.
Thanks! 🙂
Brilliant shot!
Thank you! 🙂

This is one my favourite pictures I took of the summer. It’s one of the subway bridges going over a street with part of the Calgary Skyline in the background.
What a gorgeous city!
It really is 🙂
