I shot this photos the other day on my way home from work. It is a look down 1st Street SW downtown in Calgary. These types of pictures are always fun for me, because I love the city and watching people buzzing around. The picture has a nice mix of different types of architecture and a few little things here and there that hold my attention, so I enjoy looking at it. I hope you do too!
Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Great colour and depth in a fine shot, Rob
Best Wishes

Thank you John!
I have never been to Canada so love seeing your photos. Calgary is very pretty.
You should come check it out some time!
I love how you captured the vibrant colors, but also how your eye draws you into the center with the horizontal line. I wanted to see what those buildings were in the distance. Very nice. I am not a photographer, but being an artist, I appreciate the keen eye that can see the perfect shot.
Well thank you very much! I am glad you like the picture :).
What direction is that looking, Rob? Is there a date that you could catch the sun rising or setting at the end of the street? I’ve tried to find a spot like that in Edmonton, but Jasper Ave is too curvy.
Unfortunately this is looking south, so the sun setting or rising shot you suggested would be impossible. That would be pretty cool though :).
Yeah, I’ve been thinking about a shot like that ever since I found out about Manhattanhenge.
A very nice shot.
Thank you! 🙂
