Not too long ago I found my self down at local pub watching the Calgary Flames (NHL Hockey) game with my cousin. We watched the game, had a few drinks and eventually got to chatting with some of the staff. This friendly waitress was nice enough to let me take her picture. Shooting people at 28mm has never been my thing, but I kind of like one.

Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Great shot. I agree about 28mm for portrait work, but you did a great job here.
Thank you Dan ๐
28mm for portraiture is definitely rare for most us shooters but never ourt of the realm of possibility. I like that word “possibility”.
Use whatever works. Clearly, this works!
Thank you.
Great photographer, beautiful model ๐
Thank you very much! ๐
Beautiful! Both photo and woman.
Thank you, she is indeed that ๐
Hi Rob !
Nice portrait. Did you send her the picture? I think she liked it didn’t she?
Thank you, but no I did not send her the picture haha. In fact, I have never even seen this girl again haha. Maybe I’ll tweet the bar and get them to forward the pic to her ;).
Yes, that’s how pictures get their own story. Where do you live ?
I am currently living in Calgary, Canada. Been here for about 2 years now, but originally from the Vancouver & Seattle WA. How about your self?
I am french. I am originally from a tiny city near to Paris. But I now leave in Vienna, Austria. Learning german was not fun but now it is ok! Do canadians all speak english and french?
