This gigantic apple is at the beach near my house. This is actually the back of the apple. They sell ice cream, soda and who knows what else out of the front in the summer time. It’s a pretty cool stand actually and I think it’s a nice unique touch to the beach. People grow a lot of apples in this area, so I suppose it’s also some kind of tip of the hat to the industry around here.
I don’t know what the history of this thing is, but as I write I start to wonder. Maybe I’ll have look into it, because it would make more sense if they built this and sold candy apples out if it or something. I suppose candy apple are pretty old school, so I could see why they wouldn’t do that now. I wonder if that’s how it started though? I’ll have to get back to you guys on that one.

Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Selling candy apples in the fall would be such a cool thing. This is definitely an eye-catcher!
Totally! ya it’s a really cool little stand.
Very fun idea.
Definitely 🙂
So cute! I wish more existed 🙂
For sure! 🙂
Penticton has a giant peach. I think they are supposed to remind people that one of the big things in the Okanagan is fruit orchards. 🙂
