I shot this on Sunday night right before I shot the photo in my last post. This little part of the East Village in Calgary is cool. Once some of these buildings are done and some stores and coffee shops start opening it’s going to be awesome. It’s still nice to look at even now though :).
Thanks for stopping by, Rob
What a great composition. Very cool shot of a very cool place.
Thanks! It is cool down there 🙂
The Simmons building is cool Rob. Great shot! I love the lights, they remind me of those firework sparkle sticks! ❤

Haha Ya the lights and that building are cool. I’m so glad they didn’t tear it down.
Me too Rob, they take down too many heritage buildings and I really love the red brick.
Agreed 🙂
OK I have to ask, how did you get the “star” effect? I am thinking lower fstop? I’ve done that once with the sun at sunset, but can’t remember what I did.
Yes you are right Deborah, it’s all in the F-stop! The higher that number goes, the bigger that star effect will show up :).
Thank you. It’s not often I get to play like that so I could not remember. It’s a gorgeous shot
No problem and thank you 😀.
Reblogged this on Mtongori Juma Matiku.
love this!
Thank you Krystal! 🙂
