I was walking around downtown yesterday looking for a photo. I saw this Tiger and Dragon mural and thought it would look good in a street shot. I shot relatively low so I could get more of the buildings across the street into the shot. The buildings across the street are kind of dull in comparison to the mural. I figured getting a decent mount of those buildings in the shot would provide some good contrast to the bright colours of the mural.
I also wanted some people in the photo. So I waited for someone to walk by. A first the guy by the truck came walking back to his truck and I thought that would be good enough. Then I figured I’d just wait to see if another person came by while he was at his truck. Thankfully the person with the dog came walking by. I noticed right away the girl walking her dog had on a nice bright white jacket. I knew getting the girl right in font of that dark window would be just perfect. I’m glad I waited a few moments more.

I think the photo would have been fine without the people. However, to me having people in an urban type of photo is always better than without. When your downtown in any city, life is happening there all around you and to be able to capture it even if it’s just in the background is what makes the photo come alive for me.
Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Wow! That is some kind of mural. The people are great in the photo, too–both looking down at their phones. Hey, people! Did you happen to see that great mural?! 😂
Hahaha yes that is a very good observation. Man, what a would we live in. 😅🤦🏽♂️
