Yesterday I took a trip out the mountains to do a some hiking. By the time I had passed the tree line something came over me and I decided it would be fun to keep going. It was clear to me that this mountain was much steeper than any hike I had ever been on, but the challenge and exhilaration that I knew awaited me at the top was too difficult to over come. So on I went. Every time I would make a little goal for myself I would reach it and then I’d make another goal to go a little higher and then higher yet. A few minutes after I took this picture it started to rain and that was my cue to get the heck out of there.
I knew if the rocks got slippery I’d be in some serious trouble, because one good slip and certain death awaited me! The way down was a lot more scary than the way up. The rain was coming down and I knew I had to be extra careful. There was a lot of sliding involved in my decent and I got to give it up to my trusty Nike sneakers, they never let me down and stuck to the rocks when I needed them too :). Sunday for me was an adventure of a lifetime and I can’t wait to do it again!
