This cool old spot is Browns Tavern in Spokane, Washington. It’s a wonderful little place my wife and I stumbled upon one morning while walking around the historic Browns Addition neighbourhood. While talking to the lovely waitress who was serving us, I mentioned how I liked the sign. To my surprise, she told us the sign was made of pennies! What a cool idea. The sign looks cool in the picture, but it really does look even better in person. If your ever in Spokane, this is a good stop to make.

When we visited PEI a few years back, I bought a lamp from a gallery and the lampshade is made from Canadian pennies welded together. I still love it. Cheers!
