High Bridge in Spokane

I was kicking around Browns Addition in Spokane one day last fall and found this nice view over looking High Bridge Park. One look at the picture I took and you can guess as to how they came up with the name haha. Although the park name may be simple, it is definitely accurate because that is one super high bridge!

That Sunset

Canon FD 50mm 1.2 shot @f/16

I shot this photo on Saturday night. The sunset was amazing, but there was a lot of parking lot in the middle of the picture that I didn’t like. I thought I’d hop in there and maybe make the picture a little more interesting. Not to mention giving me a change to show off my cool new Cultural Blends hoodie.šŸ˜œ

Spokane Nights

I love wandering the streets of Spokane at night looking for photos. Riverfront park is probably one of my favourite parts of the city. There are tons of great locations to shoot photos in a very condensed area. This view is one of my favourite of the city. I love locations where I can sit, enjoy an urbanĀ park by theĀ water with the view of a beautiful city.

Autumn Spokane View

The last time I went to Spokane in the fall I got a pretty wicked room that had this beautiful view! The deck was actually massive and I really should have got a picture of it, but I guess I forgot haha. Anyhow, if you want a good view this hotel (The Red Lion) has a lot of good rooms with nice views.

I thought might as well add a picture of myself on the the deck too ;).

Spokane is Awesome!

The Mount Baker Block

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-17-40mm-lThis beautiful building in Port Townsend, Washington was put up by the first mayor of the city Charles Eisenbeis in 1889. If you like old buildings like this, a visit to Port Townsend is a must. The whole town (although it is small) is filled with such gems. I’m not sure when my next trip down that way will be, but I can’t wait!

Special Delivery Spokane

I was walking around this neighbourhood (South Hill) with a friend of mine in Spokane. We had just took a stroll in a nearby park when this mail truck caught my eye. I thought the beautiful house the mailman was in front of made a nice little scene, so I snapped this photo.

John Finch Park

On my last trip to Spokane, Washington aĀ friend of mine took me for a little tour around John A. Finch Park. Even though most of the leaves had already fallen off the trees there was surprisingly still a lot of photographer buzzing around shooting photos. We must have seen at least 7 or 8 photographers there (not including us). Clearly this place is a very popular photography location for Spokane photographers and justifiably so, it is a beautiful parkĀ and from what I hear, summer and early fall is especially wonderful. I’ll have to make it out there a little earlier next time.

Riverfront Carrousel Lights

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-24-70mm-settingsI love the lights on the building! I always enjoy walking by this place when I’m kicking around Spokane. There is a great carrousel inside that building and the location is perfect. Right at the edge of the park connecting the city and as you can see, by the water! As you can imagine, it is a beautiful place for a night time stroll.

Room With a View

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-24-70mm-f2-8-lJust taking in the view from my hotel room’s deck in Spokane, Washington. I dialled in my settings and handed my camera off to my wife to take this one for me. It really was a nice view and I was fired up about the sweater I bought the night before at the Spokane Chiefs game ;). Always a good time in Spokane, I love that place.

Spokane River Warmth

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-24-70mm-l-f2-8I was kicking around the Spokane River this weekend. The weather was pretty warm and it made for a leisurely stroll around the river. I’m not sure what the temperatureĀ was, but it was warm enough that I wasn’t at all concerned about comfortably at any point. When you got November weather like that, it’s easy to hang out and take pictures all night long. šŸ™‚

Scarves & Flowers

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-50mm-1-4I was kicking around Esther Short Park in Vancouver, Washington one day when I noticed the statue of the old guy was wearing this beautiful knitted scarf. Although it did look a little odd with his iron suit, I thought it was wonderful. And to top it off, this nice little statue girl was giving him a real flower. Was a good day in the park for these two I’d say. šŸ˜‰

House Goals

I am sure I have said this before, but Spokane, Washington has some really wonderful houses! I saw this one while walking around the Browns Addition neighbourhood one summer day with my wife. Such a beautiful neighbourhood with so many nice houses. If your ever in the area be sure and take a stroll around there.

Steam Plant

exif-data-rob-moses-sony-a7-24-70mmThis amazing place is a wonderful restaurant in Spokane, Washington called Steam Plant. The name of the restaurant pretty much says it all. As you have probably guessed, the restaurant was originally a actualĀ steam plant. I love when people take old factories and stuff and turn them into something new.
