Fixer Upper

This little beauty is in Fintry Provincial Park. I don’t know exactly what this place was, but I find it kind of weird that they have just left this place here to rot. Don’t get me wrong, I like that it’s there, but it just seems a little odd to me as this is a beautiful little park. I suppose this place as some type of beauty of it’s own.

I don’t get to explore a lot of abandoned buildings or houses around here. I’ve actually never lived anywhere where there is a lot of that kind of thing. I love abandoned buildings and I’d like to check out some old asylums or something along those lines. There was one in Vancouver, but I never got around to seeing if I could get in there. I think those days are over now in Vancouver. Maybe I’ll take a trip out east one of these days and see what I can find.

Thanks for stopping by, Rob

Video of how I shot these photos.

  1. That’s quite a fixer upper. I read an article about a guy from Texas how bought a ghost town in California. He got a whole lot of fixer uppers. Nice video.

  2. Those homes in the background in your first photo–I wonder if those people are upset about this house being there or if they just accept it? It looks like it’s on a nice piece of land.

    • Ya it’s just an old barn and some other weird old building. This land is on a Provincial (state) park, so I honestly don’t know what the deal is. I think this building must have some kind of historical significance or something.
