I was standing at my front window looking outside trying to think of a picture I could take while the sun was about to set. Then this idea popped into my head! My beautiful New Balance 997S’s that have been waiting in the wings would be just perfect on this dome light in front of my house.
I ran to get my gear together as I knew the sky was minutes away from turning pink. I grabbed my X-T2 and my Viltrox 85mm f/1.8. I didn’t have time to set up an flash with a big umbrella, so I decided to use this tiny portable softbox modifier I had laying around. I whipped the tiny softbox on the flash, ran outside and got to snapping.
I was shooting with one hand and holding the flash up in the other. The flash wasn’t in the most ideal position for these shots as I could only get it as far/high as I could reach. The second shot wasn’t quite sharp, but I liked the over all image despite the technical mishap so I thought I’d share it anyway.
Now if only this virus would hit the bricks so I could start wearing these beauties. 😉

Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Ha! I saw your post title and immediately thought of New Balance shoes, but then thought, “No. Rob’s not gonna take a picture of his shoes!” But you did and they look great!!
Hahaha yes! I love these shoes, but haven’t had the chance to start wearing them yet. Figured since they were still new it could be good subject matter. 🙂
That’s very creative. Good job!
Thank you very much!
Ahh, there’s nothing like a fab new pair of sneaks!
Stay well!
Totally hey! 🙂
Exactly! 😀
