I was downtown yesterday shooting some photos for a client. While I was down there I thought I’d grab a picture for you all too ;). The gigantic head on the right is actually quite big and it is lit up a night. The sun and sun reflection on the blue building make a fun addition …

Calgary Shine
We got some shiny buildings over here in Calgary. I like taking pictures from this side of town because when the sun sets you get this beautiful light hitting the buildings. I also timed out this shot so I would have lights from the cars and the train going by at the same time. I …
Cat
This is my little pal who goes by many names in our house. My two favourite are “Cat” and “Stinky”😅. This picture was really random. It was just a test shot and not a lot of thought or time went into it. I kind of like how it turned out though so it thought I …
Adventure of a Lifetime
Yesterday I took a trip out the mountains to do a some hiking. By the time I had passed the tree line something came over me and I decided it would be fun to keep going. It was clear to me that this mountain was much steeper than any hike I had ever been on, …
Surprise Fireworks
I was out shooting the Calgary skyline last night when all of a sudden I noticed some fireworks popping off in the distance! Unfortunately the longest lens I had with me (and only lens) was my 70-200mm. With some extreme cropping, all turned out just fine haha. Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Bull City
I don’t have any idea what’s up with this bull statue, but I think it looks pretty cool in this setting. Another handheld shot with the Sony a7ii. For the lens, I was using the Sony fisheye converter on the 16mm f/2.8. Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Shiny Night
These buildings are super shiny! The reflections in these buildings windows gives a pretty cool effect. This part of town feels very modern and I love looking at the view with in the reflections. Pretty cool buildings on a pretty cool block! . . . This picture actually looks better in a larger size. I’d …
Marie in the Rain
I took a trip out to Vernon BC this weekend because my sister in-law Marie was graduating high school. All of the grads go this park in the town to take pictures, so I met up with Marie there. Of course, I by the time we found each other, I was able to shoot ONE photo …
Sony a7ii & Canon 50mm 1.2
I recently got a grip for my Sony a7ii. The grip is an aftermarket brand called Vello. The grip makes holding onto this camera feel way better and I am sure because of it I will reach for this camera more often than I do. The lens I have on the camera is a Canon …
Renfrew Sunset
I was riding my bike around downtown last night doing some location scouting. On my way home this beautiful sunset was going down over my neighbourhood! Good thing I brought my camera. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Greeni Lake Trail
I hiked up the Greeni Lake Trail near Canmore, Alberta this past weekend and shot this photo. It’s a pretty awesome spot and definitely worth the mellow hike! 😉 Thanks for stopping by, Rob
Coeur d’Alene Sunset
This sunset looks particularly crazy because when I shot the photo there was some massive forest fires burning in the area. The entire region was covered in smoke and Coeur d’Alene was right in the thick of it. The smoke provided quite the hazy looking sunset, so for the shot it actually helped my situation. …
A Burning Tower
I shot this photo back in February and kind of forgot about it. I was driving home one day and noticed the Calgary tower was lit up, so I made a stop off at Tom Campbell’s hill and shot this. I used a Sony a7ii with a Canon FD 80-200mm f4 lens. Amazingly, I shot …
