I was sitting in my living room looking at our Christmas tree admiring some of my favourite ornaments. I decided to take some pictures. My very favourite ones are the ones my kids made. They are so special to me because it reminds me of the time when they were a little and came home from school with them. The were so proud of them and to be honest so was I, they are absolutely wonderful. We got a couple other ones on the tree that I like too so I just snapped couple pictures of those too.
To take these pictures I could have just grabbed my trusty Sony a7R ii, but I thought why not make things a little more interesting. So I dug out my 16 year old Canon 30D haha. Even thought this camera is super old and lacks many of the modern conveniences of a new camera it is still very capable. There was a time when this camera was use by professionals and I was one of them. If you cant afford the newest camera on the block, don’t be scared to pick up and old beater camera because in the right hands it will do everything you need it to do.

Thanks for stopping by, Rob
My husband always calls an old camera of his a ‘ beater’ camera. I would roll my eyes. But you called it that–and you’re a pro! Beater camera, it is. 😀 Wonderful ornaments, great photos. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Rob.
Haha beater camera indeed ;). Thank you and Merry Christmas to you too!!! I hope your day is wonderful.
Season’s Greetings. 🙂
