American Eagle in BC

I just stumbled upon this picture yesterday evening (in my files) and it was the first time I really took a good look at it haha. I shot this photo while out on a walk in Castlegar, British Columbia. I was only able to get a 4 or 5 shots of him before he flew away. Unfortunately I only had my 70-200mm with me at the time of this sighting, however I was able to do a rather harsh crop job on the photo for it to look ok haha. On my next trip back to BC or WA I am definitely going to keep a long zoom in my bag at all times :).

  1. Eagles are hard to capture. We had a lot of them in the St. Clair County, Michigan this winter due to the unusual ice. A long lens is a must to really get a nice shot.
