YYC Iron Horse

This cool horse is right in the middle of downtown here in Calgary. It is in this really cool city park that is attached to a train station. I don’t often find myself in this park, but every time I do I take a minute to admire the art.

A couple years ago I took another picture of one of these statues at night. You can see that picture here: Click Me!

Riverfront Carrousel Lights

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-24-70mm-settingsI love the lights on the building! I always enjoy walking by this place when I’m kicking around Spokane. There is a great carrousel inside that building and the location is perfect. Right at the edge of the park connecting the city and as you can see, by the water! As you can imagine, it is a beautiful place for a night time stroll.

Scarves & Flowers

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-50mm-1-4I was kicking around Esther Short Park in Vancouver, Washington one day when I noticed the statue of the old guy was wearing this beautiful knitted scarf. Although it did look a little odd with his iron suit, I thought it was wonderful. And to top it off, this nice little statue girl was giving him a real flower. Was a good day in the park for these two I’d say. 😉

Waiting for the Storm

rob moses exif data canon 6d 50mm 1.4I shot this one on Saturday night. It had been raining all day and the clouds looked rather menacing. I thought rather than just another city shot, I might hop in front of the camera to add a little something to the photo. I was shooting with a friend of mine and he had a 430EX Speedlite on him with some Radio Poppers flash triggers, so we set the flash up. We used the one flash to camera left with a small defuser on the unit. I would have preferred it if there was more lights on in the buildings, but I still like the way it turned out.
