I bought this R53 Mini Cooper S last week! Some of you know I have been looking for a small car recently. I was actually searching for a Fiat 500 Abarth for a while, but then I decided to go take a look at this Mini Cooper S that came up for sale locally. After driving the car I knew it was a Mini that I wanted and the Abarth was out.
At first I wasn’t planning on buying this exact Mini. I kept looking and test drove a newer Mini Cooper S. But the newer car felt like a bit of a boar to dive and was actually a lot bigger than this one. After that test drive and some negotiating I ended up buying this car. It’s honestly a little ruff around the edges, but I got it for pretty cheap so I don’t mind putting a little money into it. It’s been a blast to drive so far and I’m looking forward to a lot of fun times in this little rocket.

Oh nice! Ya it’s such a fun car. I actually had one before over 10 years ago when we lived in Calgary. But ya they are such fun cars. 🙂
Since you hadn’t posted much lately, I was wondering if you car buying and/or watching your boys in action. I was sure you weren’t missing their games. The car buying, I thought, well, maybe Rob is out car shopping. No one wants to buy a car that doesn’t quite fit. Glad you found the one that fits. Enjoy the new ride. (Just don’t zig-and-zag in front of a big Denali. Separate story there.)
Yes, well it’s was kind of a combination of all off the above as to why I hadn’t been posting much. I’m gonna get back on it this week though! No more excuses haha. But I’ll be sure and watch where I do my zigging and zagging. 😉
