I couldn’t even tell you the last time it was I actually walked into a real record store. That all changed yesterday. I had walked by this record store many times before, but never went in. But even just as I was passing by I could tell it was cool. When you walk in, you go downstairs, so from the street you kind of look down into it as you walk by. I dunno why, but that’s always cool to me somehow.
As soon as I walked in, it kind of felt like going back in time. I remember very well going into record stores in the 1990’s. Most of the time it was more CDs than records in the stores, but I did often go into actual records stores too. This store did not disappoint in the slightest. The store is well set up and the entire store has a great vibe going. The girl working there was super nice, easy to talk to and she really seemed like someone who would work at a record store (whatever that means lol), so good hire there. I didn’t buy anything, because I don’t have a record player, but I know some people who do so when it comes time to buy gifts, I know where I’ll be going.

I think the last record store around here closed before I was born (1994). My dad has a stack of vinyl LPs but we have no turntable. The turntables they have now uses a USB connection, at least when I last checked several years ago. You’re lucky to still have one.
Ya it’s pretty crazy that the store is even there. Records must be somewhat popular around here because when I walked into the store (on a Sunday afternoon) there was already 5 other people already in there and 2 more showed up while I was looking around. But ya as for the turntables, I have zero clue as to what is going on with the turntables these days haha. USB connection you say? Interesting. I guess for hooking up to your computer? Strange times haha.
One more peripheral to have, one more cable behind the workstation.

Ya record stores are cool for sure! I honestly wish I had an excuse to go back there sooner haha.
