Ok so this lake isn’t called Moody Lake. It’s just the Okanagan Lake here in Kelowna, but moment I shot this photo it there was a definite moody vibe in the air. It was a strange day, because only moments before this it was nice and sunny, but as the clouds moved over the sun everything changed in a hurry. I like the way the scene looked at this moment.
Right before I shot this photo I was walking along a trail on the side of this hill and I saw the boat coming. I quickly as I could ran off the path through the shrubs to the edge of this cliff so I could get an unobstructed view of the lake. I knew I wanted the dock in the shot and I need to have the boat on the left of side of it because if I let it go any further it would be harder to see very well on a small computer screen. There tiny details probably don’t really matter, but that’s where my head was at.
Camera: Fujifilm X-T2 & 18-55mm f/2.8-4

Details matter! Great shot, Rob.
Thank you! 😀
Wow….just love this. Thanks for sharing.
Great shot. Big water has been something I’ve missed a lot since moving to Colorado. I grew up spending summers on Lake Superior so views like this always catch my attention.
Ah nice! Ya big lakes are great hey! I’ve never been to Colorado, but it looks nice there.
