Nike Destroyer Hike

So my family and I went for a wicked hike just outside of Puerto Vallarta. I shot a little video along the way and thought it was worth sharing here. This is the first video I really used my DJI Osmo gimbal in and I am very happy with the results. I think I’m going to continue to use that gimbal for most of my videos moving forward.

The High Seas of Tulum

rob-moses-exif-data-canon-6d-17-40mmI shot this one while cruising the high seas of Tulum, Mexico. Ok, well maybe not quite the HIGH seas, but we were definitely cruising! :).

Lake Louise

exif data rob moses canon 6d 24-105mm ISMy family and I took a trip out to Lake Louise this past weekend. The weather was a little spotty and strange. One moment it would be raining, the next sunny and next again sun and rain! It never started pouring really hard, so that was nice. I spotted this canoe with a large Canadian flag on it and shot this photo. I wish the flag was a little more straight, but I guess like this it shows a little more realism. Anyhow, I thought the canoe and flag made for a nice foreground to the beautiful landscape in the back.

The Instagram picture is of my son shooting a photo on this hike we did. I took that picture with my iPhone and I really like how it turned out. Pretty easy to get a good shot out there I guess :).

Pieces to the Puzzle

This picture is kind of cool because of all the action going on. At first glance you might not even notice, but there really is a lot happening. First off and most importantly, the couple walking across the bridge. Then of course the people on the boat and the other people about to launch their boat. Another important piece to this photo is the train going by in the background. I waited quite a while to get that train going by and to have a good shot of some people on the bridge before shooting the photo. All these little things might not be much interest to most people, but to me they all come together to make this picture something I can appreciate.

Beautiful Port Townsend

Camera: Canon 6D & 70-200mm f/4 IS @ 200mm ~ Settings: f/18 – 1/200th – ISO 320

I shot this one from the ferry while pulling into Port Townsend, Washington. I am a big fan of old buildings and houses and Port Townsend has an abundance of both. The architecture alone is enough for me to fall in love with the place, but just about everything else there did it for me too :). Visit Port Townsend!

Sailing The Olympic Peninsula

I took this picture from a Washington State Ferry, while on rout to Port Townsend. I have never done any sailing on The Olympic Peninsula, but it looks like it would be a beautiful area to do such a thing.
