This beautiful old sign is the sign that greets you to my neighbourhood in Kelowna. I love this sign and I have a bad feeling the city will replace it with something newer and most likely worse. I dont have a good reason for thinking this, but it just seems like when something is old (no matter how perfect it is) cities have a tendency to want to replace it. I really hope I am wrong in this case.

Thanks for stopping by, Rob
We had a similar situation with a sign that tells cars where to turn to head to the beach. It was a big old ’50’s style fish that was going to be replaced with newer and better. The residents were up in arms–hell, no! So the sign was remade (it was very rusty for salt in the air) just as the original, and fitted with LED lights. Half of the old sign auctioned off for over $49,000!
Oh wow, that’s a nice little profit on the sign haha. Hope the new sign looks ok.
It looks great!
