I very quickly shot this photo as I was turning into Banff one evening. I had my camera sitting on my passenger seat and when I got to the turn, I checked to see if there was anyone coming behind me. It looked like I had the corner to my self for the time being, so I grabbed my camera and capped off a few shutter clicks before I saw someone coming up the ramp. Shooting so quick isn’t ideal, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get the shot :).
Thanks for stopping by, Rob

fantastic.
Thanks!
That’s beautiful! When I first glanced at it, I thought the cloud near the middle was a peninsula of land, which made the sky look like a lake of fire, cool optical illusion.
Haha I thought it looked like a Santa hat! Thanks 😉
That is what I’m talking about, right there. More please! There’s nothing like that color combo that draws out the soft purple in the white of the snow on the peaks. Wish we had more of that down in Seattle. Thanks for sharing Rob, that’s a beaut. Not to be confused with a butte.
Thanks Pal! It really is a beautiful time of the evening 🙂
