Portland Vlogs

I took a trip down to Portland last weekend and shot a little video of my trip. I met up with an old friend of mine from Vancouver and my brother in-law. If I was on my own I probably would have daily vlogged the trip, but when your with friends you can’t just be filming the whole time or you won’t have time to visit haha.

Beautiful Palace

exif-data-rob-moses-sony-a7ii-zeiss-24-70mmI took to the streets one night in Cancun to shoot some long exposures. This was the very first picture I took that night and I could have easily just walked right back into my hotel and been happy haha. They got some really beautiful resorts around Cancun, and this one is one of my favourite.

Cancun Reflection

exif-data-settings-rob-moses-sony-a7ii-24-70mm-zeissI shot this one in the hotel zone of Cancun Mexico. I had to walk across this ledge of a building to set up the shot. The window used in the reflection had some type of mirror coating on it and it worked wonders for the photo.

I have added a shot from my Instagram account showing where I shot this photo from. You can see the window I used for this photo on the further side of me. I was set up at the far corner.

Edmonton Night

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-5d-mark-iii-70-200mm-f4-isI was up in Edmonton this past weekend visiting some family. I hung out and chatted the evening away, but once it got into the night around 8:30, I had to burn rubber and hit the streets! I love Edmonton and I love some the beautiful views the city has to offer. Here is one of my favourite views of the city, taken from Saskatchewan Drive.

Montana Signs

I love old signs like this! I think the “Sports Club” sign would be particularly awesome at night. Since I was only passing through this town (Shelby, MT) I didn’t have the opportunity to get a night shot of the sign. Even in the day light this sign still has a certain charm to it. Maybe next time I’m around I’ll plan to be passing through at night. 🙂

Steam Plant

exif-data-rob-moses-sony-a7-24-70mmThis amazing place is a wonderful restaurant in Spokane, Washington called Steam Plant. The name of the restaurant pretty much says it all. As you have probably guessed, the restaurant was originally a actual steam plant. I love when people take old factories and stuff and turn them into something new.

Cancun Night

rob-mose-exif-data-canon-6d-70-200mmI shot this photo from the balcony of my hotel room in Cancun, Mexico this past winter. Most of the resorts were down the street and around the corner. This area had a more authentic feel to it, which I like. 🇲🇽 😀

The Beach – Playa Del Carmen

exif data rob moses canon 6d 70-200mm f4 isThis is part of the beach in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. While I was down there, we were staying about 20 minutes away from here and we came into the town a few times. On this day I ended up ditching my camera in my car and hit the open sea! I love swimming around in naturally warm water, it makes me want to move to Tampa or something! If I lived some where with this kind of beach, I can’t image many days I wouldn’t want to be there.

Vacation in Mexico

I just spent a week in Mexico with my family. My wife and two children arrived in Cancun a day before the rest of the family arrived. So we spend a night in a hotel in what seemed to be a little more local (less touristy) part of the city. The next day when other people started arriving we headed to our restort about and hour south of Cancun at a place I believe was called Puerto Aventura.

The crew consisted of My family, my wife’s parents, my 2 sister in-laws and their boyfriends. Everyone had fun and there is just to many stories to write here. This post is just a bunch of pictures from my phone or GoPro (except for the funny family pic). I will be posting proper photos over the next few weeks.

Beautiful Penticton, BC

I had been to Penticton, British Columba a couple of times before my last trip this past summer, however it was on this tip I really fell in love with the place. On my pervious visits, it was always a day trip. This summer I had the pleasure of spending a few days there and I got the chance to really take a look around and see what the place had to offer. I am 100% a city guy, however I could see my self living in a town like Penticton.

When I shot this photo I was just walking back to my car. I stopped to shoot the scene and thought if I waited till some people came walking by and caught them right in the middle of those trees it would be a better photo. I think I was right :).
