Nike Destroyer Hike

So my family and I went for a wicked hike just outside of Puerto Vallarta. I shot a little video along the way and thought it was worth sharing here. This is the first video I really used my DJI Osmo gimbal in and I am very happy with the results. I think I’m going to continue to use that gimbal for most of my videos moving forward.

City Night Love

I love the city at night! The lights, the people, cars, trains and whatever else is going on. Being a part of all that happens in a city at night makes me feel alive and there is no where else I’d rather be in that moment. Lucky for me, shooting photos of a city at night produces wonderful images. Just another reason to get out there and be apart of the scene. 🙂

Colorful Condos

Camera: Sony NEX-7 & 16mm f/2.8 with Sony Fisheye Converter ~ Settings: f/16 – 1/800th – ISO 1600

These types of newer style condos are everywhere in Vancouver, BC. When I was editing this photo my wife walked by and even asked me, “That’s crazy, is that Vancouver?” haha. Even though I agree it is very Vancouver’esk, this is indeed in here in Calgary.

Note: I made a rookie mistake in these shots. I had turned the iso way up for another photo and forgot to turn it back down before shooting these. WHOOPS!

Downtown Vancouver

Camera: Canon 5D & 50mm 1.4 ~ Settings: f/9 – 1/50th – ISO 1000

I shot this photo about 5 years ago in Vancouver, BC Canada, back when I was still living there. I have been getting gathering some of my favourite photos to put together a page to sell prints. This particular shot is still one of my favourite and I have it framed and hanging in my house :).

Mild Winter Moment

Camera: Nikon D300s & Sigma 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye ~ Settings: f/10 – 1/80th – ISO 500

I was downtown yesterday meeting a guy about thing. I had my camera with me so I grabbed a couple quick shots. The weather in Calgary this winter has been pretty good lately. As you can see from the pictures it’s not exactly what comes to mind when one thinks of winter in the city. It was 48 degrees (9C) in Calgary yesterday and it looks to be staying around that mark for the next little while. That is good photography weather and I plan on taking advantage of it :).

Down Centre Street

Here’s a picture from when you could walk outside with comfortable clothes on! haha. This is the view looking south down across the Centre Street Bridge here in Calgary.

I don’t post vertical pictures very often, so I’m not sure about what size I should post them at. Let me know if this is to big or not.

Sunset Over Calgary

I shot this on Tuesday evening off an overpass near my house. The previous day I was driving over said overpass at the exact same time I took this picture. As I crossed the overpass I saw right away what a great shot it could be, so I noted the time and came back the next day. The photo is not exactly how I had pictured it in my mind, but it’s pretty close :).

*Note: If you ever desire to see any of my pictures in a little larger size, I post most of them on my Twitter account in a larger size :). Also, sometimes I just can’t wait to get a picture out there and it might hit Twitter a day a head of here haha. Now I’m not saying go there instead of here, because this is where all the good stuff is haha ;). Just go there if you want to view a shot a little bigger.

Bokeh In The House

Some times you just gotta shoot f/1.2 and let the bokeh do the talking. 😉
