Director Park Portland

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-17-40mmPortland, Oregon has some wonderful public spaces downtown. This one is especially nice! Super clean, good food and a nice location. If your ever kicking around Portland I’m sure (I hope) you’ll find yourself walking by here at some point. ๐Ÿ™‚

Street Shooting The Pearl

canon-6d-50mm-exif-data-rob-mosesI found myself walking down the street in the Pearl District of Portland and did a little street shooting. The color of this building really stood out to me so I held down the corner for a couple of minutes so I could get a person in my shot. This cool looking girl came around just in time :).

Buildings PDX

exif data rob moses canon 6d 70-200mm f4 ISRandom buildings in Portland, Oregon. I like pictures where the entire frame is filled with buildings. This one would have been better if there was a little wind to get that flag flying, oh well I still like the picture. ๐Ÿ™‚

Portland’s Red Baron

rob moses exif data canon 6d 50mm 1.4I saw this kid burning around Portland on his (non-hovering) hoverboard. He looked like he was having quite the time! While he was waiting for the light to change he just kept spinning and moving back and forth. He was doing all of this while downing what looked to be a tasty Starbucks drink haha. Good times I’m sure. ๐Ÿ™‚

TriMet

exif data rob moses canon 6d 17-40mmThe public transit in Portland, Oregon is great! I’m the type who prefers the train over driving, so the public transportation system in Portland is greatly appreciated by myself and other like minded people. Pictured here is TriMet train #235 making its way around the city.

Portland City Gym

exif data canon 6d 17-40mm rob mosesWhile I was walking around the streets of Portland I handed my camera off to my son Joshua to take this picture of me. I was standing in front of an H&M store we just left. It just so happens that the sweater I am wearing is made by that very storeย ๐Ÿ™‚

City School

exif data rob moses canon 6d 70-200mm f4 isI love old schools like the one in this picture. It is a perfect example of what comes to my mind when I think of a big old elementary school. The location of this school is just wonderful. Having the Portland skyline as a backdrop to this beautiful old building makes for good picture.

If anyone is interested, this school was originally called “Failing Elementary School”. The school named after former Portland Mayor Josiah Failing. The building is currently occupied by the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM).

Happy Cycling

exif data rob moses canon 6d 50mmI was walking down the street when I noticed the bright red fire truck heading my way. Then the bright and happy cyclist caught my eye. Like an old west gun slinger, I whipped my camera in front of my face and snapped this photo. People like this make the world a better place and Portland is filled with them! ๐Ÿ™‚

Portland from a Bridge

rob moses exif data canon 6d 50mmThis is the view of Portland from the Steel Bridge. I was walking across the bridge on the other side and immediately knew I was on the wrong side. I don’t recommend doing this, but I had wait for a breakย in the traffic to run across the bridge! It wasn’t all that busy, so it wasn’t a big deal. I know there are many better locations for a Portland skyline shot, but this view is nice to look at too :).
