Sunburst City

I’m a sucker for a good sunburst and I’ll try to¬†grab one whenever I can. The thing I really love about these pictures is that sunburst is the reflection of the sun off of a pretty cool looking building! If your a city guy (or girl) like me, then that’s what it’s all about ;).

Oh ya, and that dude that’s practicing his karate moves is hilarious! ūü§£

Run In The Sun

Camera: Canon 6D & 70-200mm f/2.8 @ 200mm ~ Settings: f/2.8 – 1/250th – ISO 100

On my way home yesterday evening I made a quick stop to shoot a few photos. This girl ran right by me on the sidewalk before she looped around in front of my lens. I noticed right away that her dog was carrying a piece of wood in his mouth haha. I guess it would be a good thing to have if the opportunity to play came up :).

Bokeh on the Bridge

I went for a little walk across the Centre Street Bridge with my son Cammy yesterday evening. It was a beautiful evening and we had a fun time. Of course I was snapping photos a long the way and theses are a few of the ones I took.

Sunset Over Calgary

I shot this on Tuesday evening off an overpass near my house. The previous day I was driving over said overpass at the exact same time I took this picture. As I crossed the overpass I saw right away what a great shot it could be, so I noted the time and came back the next day. The photo is not exactly how I had pictured it in my mind, but¬†it’s pretty close :).

*Note: If you ever desire to see any of my pictures in a little larger size, I post most of them on my Twitter account in a larger size :). Also, sometimes I just can’t wait to get a picture out there and it might hit Twitter a day a head of here haha. Now I’m not saying go there instead of here, because this is where all the good stuff is haha ;). Just go there if you¬†want to view a shot a little bigger.¬†

Beautiful Creek in Penticton BC

While I was in Penticton BC, this summer I saw many beautiful scenes. This scene was one of my favourite and I just stumbled¬†upon it. I was walking a long a very random path because I decided I wanted to park in a little further away from my destination so I could take in some more of the town. While walking I noticed the beautiful light shining into the trees. I ran over, found a good vantage point and waited for some one to cross the bridge. The first person had a dog, BONUS! These little decisions¬†don’t always work out, but I’d say it did on¬†this day :).

Random Flares of Light

Sometimes I get board and take random, meaningless pictures that have no business being taken. Like this one here haha. I grabbed my camera to do a couple test shots (with different lens) and the next thing I knew I was walking between these buildings where I saw some nice light shining through. There was really no picture to be had there, but I forced this one because I just liked the light at that moment. Oh, and I like shooting into the sun from time to time for the flare. ūüėÄ
