I have always loved 50mm. It’s just such a perfect lens for how I like to shoot. Over the years I have had so many different 50mm lenses. Even right now I couldn’t even tell you how many different 50mm lenses I have. If I had to guess I’d say between 10 and 20. With that said I have always come back to the Canon EF 50mm 1.4. It’s far from a perfect lens, but I have taken a lot of my favourite pictures with this lens and I can’t image I’ll ever get ride of this one.
I am currently using this Canon 50mm on my Sony a7iii with a Metabones adapter. The adapter makes the lens longer than I’d like, but until Sony comes out with a 50mm around the same size and image quality I will keep shooting with this one.

I have a Nikon lens this same size and I cannot remember the last time I used it. Such a shame. My zoom lens gets the most use, mostly because I shoot out of the car a lot while my husband drives. Such a lazy photographer. 😂
Haha ya I was wishing I had a camera on my passenger seat the other day because there are times when I could get such good shots out the window. But it’s just probably a bad idea for me to be trying to get photos while I’m driving haha.
