I grew up living by the water most of my life and only the times I lived some where with out a big body of water were the times I realized how much I loved it. After years of living in Calgary with out a nice lake or the ocean I am super happy to be back by the water.

I know exactly how you feel. In the area where I live, I have access to three beautiful lakes – Lake Harding and Lake Martin in Alabama, and West Point Georgia Lake which covers land across the state lines in Southeast Alabama and Southwest Georgia. These are places where I spend as much time as possible with my camera. Love the scenery of the shipyard and mountains here. A very nice photo!

There is some beautiful scenery for sure in both Alabama and Georgia. I am fortunate that I live near the state line between the two states and that I have three beautiful lakes I can visit. There are also mountains around but unfortunately neither of my trucks are in any condition that I trust to go much further than to work or the lakes. I’m sure you would enjoy visiting either state.
