Best Photographer Finalist

So last month I got an email that said (among other things) “You were recommended for the Calgary Event Awards as an amazing event photographer”, I’ll leave out all the other boring stuff, but that line pretty much says it all. Anything like that is always nice to hear, so with that email I tossed my hat in the ring. Then a week or so later I got another email that read “Calgary Event Awards 2017 – Finalists” and then “Congratulations!” blah, blah, blah. Nice! I guess some other people kinda like what I do too. So as it turns out I’m up for Best Photographer and it’s between two other photographers and myself. The awards are on March 2nd, so I’ll be sure and let you guys know if I win or not. 🙂

Riverfront Carrousel Lights

exif-data-rob-moses-canon-6d-24-70mm-settingsI love the lights on the building! I always enjoy walking by this place when I’m kicking around Spokane. There is a great carrousel inside that building and the location is perfect. Right at the edge of the park connecting the city and as you can see, by the water! As you can imagine, it is a beautiful place for a night time stroll.

Montana Signs

I love old signs like this! I think the “Sports Club” sign would be particularly awesome at night. Since I was only passing through this town (Shelby, MT) I didn’t have the opportunity to get a night shot of the sign. Even in the day light this sign still has a certain charm to it. Maybe next time I’m around I’ll plan to be passing through at night. 🙂

Steam Plant

exif-data-rob-moses-sony-a7-24-70mmThis amazing place is a wonderful restaurant in Spokane, Washington called Steam Plant. The name of the restaurant pretty much says it all. As you have probably guessed, the restaurant was originally a actual steam plant. I love when people take old factories and stuff and turn them into something new.
