Portland Vlogs

I took a trip down to Portland last weekend and shot a little video of my trip. I met up with an old friend of mine from Vancouver and my brother in-law. If I was on my own I probably would have daily vlogged the trip, but when your with friends you can’t just be filming the whole time or you won’t have time to visit haha.

Just Weeks before with Amy & Dwight

I went kicking around Princes Island Park with Amy & Dwight the other day to shoot some engagement photos. Funny thing about this photo session is it was only a few weeks away from the actual wedding! Not exactly typical, but who cares ;). We really lucked out with the weather because the days leading up to the shoot were really ugly out and then on the day the sun was shinning and it was sweater weather. Good weather, good people and a good location is a recipe for fun and that’s what happened.

I also shot a bit of video along the way too and have added it here if your into that sort of thing.

Little Skateboarder – Stills & Video

On Saturday afternoon my 6 year old son Cameron and I went for a little skate downtown. We were heading to the very popular Peace Bridge to get a shot of Cameron on his skateboard in the middle of the bridge. However, when we got there the wind was blowing like crazy and it was kind of a bad scene. We decided to hit the streets in search of a new spot to shoot a photo. We found a spot with smooth cement, places to leave our gear and set up our cameras with very little interruption from passerbyers.

Not only did we shoot photos, but we were also rolling videoΒ on the whole thing for my vlog. I didn’t realize how many times I had Cam push off on his skateboard for the photo until I was going over the video footage at home. I didn’t count how many times he did it, but it was a at least 30 times! For a 6 year old to have that kind of patience on a photo shoot is amazing. I also noticed he took direction very well. I was super impressed by all of this at the time, but even more so after the fact. I think he’d make a good little actor or model if he wanted to go down that road. For now I think we’ll just stick to the skateboarding though ;).

Drop The Bass

I was out kicking around the streets of Calgary last weekend shooting some photos with a friend of mine. I spotted this guy from across the street and knew I had to get a shot of him. He was drop’n the bass on some funky tunes and was real cool about a picture. Love people like that!

If you follow me on Instagram (@RobMoses) then you probably already know I was hanging out in Cancun Mexico over the last week or so. If you don’t follow me on IG, Hello! sorry for the disappearance! πŸ˜‰ haha. Anyhow, my family and I took a little time off and did some serious relaxing by the beach. I shot a few photos while I was down there and actually made couple video’s too. Here is one of my favourite sunset shots from the trip and the videos. I’ll get a proper post together in the next couple days.
