Out in These Streets

I was out kicking around Calgary last night shooting some photos. It wasn’t a particularly nice night for it, because the sky was rather dark, but there were people out and the atmosphere of the city made up for the dark skies. I met 4 different people and we all followed each other on Instagram. The first picture is one of those people. Big up to everyone down to meet someone new on the city streets at night. 🙂

Sunburst City

I’m a sucker for a good sunburst and I’ll try to grab one whenever I can. The thing I really love about these pictures is that sunburst is the reflection of the sun off of a pretty cool looking building! If your a city guy (or girl) like me, then that’s what it’s all about ;).

Oh ya, and that dude that’s practicing his karate moves is hilarious! 🤣

Cool Vintage Sign

A new train station recently opened up in Calgary and they re-erected this old sign. When I first moved here I noticed the sign in front of a cool old gas station that looked like it belonged on the set of “Back to the Future”. I never got a picture of the building, because I never thought they would tear it down or move it. Anyhow, they did move the building (I believe), but I’m not sure where to. I am happy they fixed up the old sign and put it back up though, it’s brings a real charm to the Tuscany C-Train Station.

Snow Covered Streets

I walked around the corner on to this street in Calgary and immediately saw the guy snow blowing the train station platform. Naturally with all the snow blowing around my first instinct was to put my lens cap on, and I did. Then I noticed this girl walking up the street too. I quickly removed my lens cap, adjusted my settings and snapped this photo. I am happy with the picture, however I think this shot might have been a little better shot at around f/4 or so, just so you could make out the snowblower guy a bit better. I still like the photo how it is though, mostly because I ‘m just crazy about blurry backgrounds :).
