I pushed myself out the door last night to go shoot some photos. I could see the leaves on the trees in front of my house were quite still, so I knew there wasn’t any wind. I figured it would be a good night to go shoot a photo by the lake. I had another photo in mind, but I thought I’d stop by Pandosy Waterfront Park first and see if I could get anything there.
I have been wanting to get a shot of this boardwalk and pier since this park opened this summer. I just never got around to getting down there with the lens I needed for this shot. More often then not I’m walking around with a 50 & 85. Finally I had telephoto lens and got this photo. I think it would better on a brighter night, but I’m happy with this. The photo has is own dark charm to it that I can appreciate.

Yay! Looking forward to the comeback! Kids must be driving or in college by now. 🤣 Give the weather until about April then swing on by. It’s pretty perfect at that time of year.
LOL not quite, but both in Jr. High now 😄. I’ll have to post some of there basketball pictures soon. And yes April would be awesome. I’ll get down there one of these days for sure.
Nighttime has its own special charm. Where we live in the country, walk out too far, maybe 100 yards, it gets pretty dark fast. All we have in outdoor lights are close-in to the house and barn.
O/T: I was wondering how you and the family made out with that big fire a few months ago. It’s scary when you see something that big coming for your town.
You’re right about the night, I actually really enjoy being out at night. Well I do in a more urban situation, I dunno if I’d necessarily like walking around in the country at night haha. Sounds a little TOO dark 😜.
And about the fire, well ya it was nuts for sure! But we made out just fine. The fire didn’t jump the lake to our side of town so it didn’t hit us directly, so I’m thankful for that.
