Back To Fujifilm

I decided life would be better with a little Fujifilm back in my life. I picked up this Fujifilm X-T2 for a smoke’n deal from Vistek (a Canadian camera store) and I am so happy I did. If you have been a long time reader of this blog you know I have some experience with this camera. If you have been flowing this blog even recently you know I have been missing shooting with Fuji cameras.

Shooting photos with a Fujifilm camera is just more fun. All the dials and knobs for all your settings really do make the experience of taking a picture much more enjoyable. Now of course this might not be true for everyone, but any of my friends who have picked up a Fuji camera will back me up on this. Not only is the camera fun to physically use, but the image quality is wonderful too. Everyone knows Fujifilm has great colours and the over all images that come out of this camera are wonderful to my eye.

The auto focus on the X-T2 is also really good! Of course you may know I am a heavy Sony a7R user and everyone knows the AF on that camera is trash. With that said I shot Canon (still got a 5D mark iii) and Nikon for years and I do still own an a7Rii (and had a a7ii) so I know what good AF looks like. The X-T2 detects faces and eyes well and when I’m out in the street with this camera I am confident that the AF will keep up with whatever I throw at it.

So to wrap things up here I guess I’d like to say I am super happy to be back in the Fuji Gang and if anyone was wondering the X-T2 is still an awesome camera in 2020!
